How It Works

Five (5) novelty cheques will be hidden at iconic locations around Canberra between 2 March and 7 March 2026.
One cheque will be hidden each day between 8:00am and 9:00am.
Clues may be shared via our website and/or social media channels.
Participants must find a cheque and bring it to Centre Management to claim their prize.
All novelty cheques must be presented and validated no later than 5:00pm on 31 March 2026.
Novelty cheques cannot be redeemed for cash.
Winners will receive a gift card, issued by Centre Management.

Terms & Conditions

The promotion is conducted by Canberra Outlet

The promotion runs from 2 March 2026 to 7 March 2026.
One (1) novelty cheque will be hidden each day between 8:00am and 9:00am at various iconic public locations around Canberra, ACT.
All novelty cheques must be claimed by 5:00pm on 31 March 2026.

Entry is open to residents of the ACT aged 18 years and over.
Employees of the Promoter, participating retailers, contractors, agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Limit of one (1) prize per person.

Participants must physically locate one (1) of the five (5) novelty cheques placed at iconic public locations around Canberra.
The finder must present the original cheque in person to Centre Management before the claim deadline.
The cheque must be intact, original, and unaltered.
Photographs or copies will not be accepted.

Each novelty cheque is redeemable for one (1) gift card only.
Novelty cheques:
- Have no cash value.
- Cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Are not transferable.
- Cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
Gift cards will be issued by Centre Management and are subject to the individual retailer’s terms and conditions, including expiry dates where applicable.

Prizes must be claimed in person at Centre Management (located next to Outdoor Elegance).
Collection hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Valid photo identification may be required.
Any cheque not claimed by 5:00pm on 31 March 2026 will be forfeited.

Participants must not trespass, enter restricted areas, damage property, or behave in an unsafe or unlawful manner when searching for cheques.
Cheques will only be placed in publicly accessible areas.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage incurred while participating in the promotion.

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of claims and disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen novelty cheques.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion if required due to unforeseen circumstances.
By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
